MEET THE FOUNDER
Hey, I’m Lara Sophie,
Certified trauma-informed therapist, somatic educator, yoga teacher and the heart behind The Soulshine Space.
A few years ago, my life looked completely different. I worked as a police officer, pushed my body to extremes in bodybuilding and tried to control everything around me.
From the outside, I seemed to have it all together, but inside I was numb, disconnected, and lost touch with who I really was.
My turning point wasn’t loud or dramatic, it was a slow and steady awakening. Through yoga classes, meditation retreats, somatic therapy, energy work and trauma-informed spaces, I finally started to truly feel my body again.
I could connect with my repressed anger, the underlying grief, and all those emotions that had kept me distanced from flow & ease in everyday life.
Since then, the path of somatic healing has been constantly inspiring and reminding me of the inherent truth we all share: being fully alive asks us to step out of the analyzing mind and experience life through sensations, emotions, and with that, presence and safety in our bodies.
P.S. Still got my vices - Hazelnut Butter & Coffee being two of them. But hey, not here to pretend I’ve got it all figured out. x

I spent years trying to control everything around me before discovering what it truly means to feel safe, connected and alive.
Today, I create spaces where others can reconnect with themselves too.
